Greener shipping


We believe in recycling packaging materials to help the environment. Bubble wrap is only used to cushion some of our items that may need protection for shipping. We use recycled or recyclable boxes and paper. Most of our packing materials are reused from shipments we receive from suppliers or previously used for other purposes. If you receive a box that seems a little marked up and scratched, it is saving trees and helping to keep our shipping costs under control.


Some of our products are shipped directly from manufacturers, which may or may not adhere to a greener shipping policy.



The Plant Scooter offers FREE standard shipping on all orders over $300 (excluding taxes) shipped inside the Continental U.S.A.  For shipments totaling less than $300, refer to the table below.

Orders are usually processed within 2-5 business days. The Plant Scooter ships via ground service to addresses inside the Continental U.S.A only.  Our shippers estimate delivery times between 4 and 6 business days.  Refer to the shipping table below for rates. On average, The Plant Scooter does not make money on shipping. In fact, in recent years we have lost money on shipping, as the carriers continue to raise prices and add fuel and area delivery surcharges to our costs.  Garden centers and big box stores do not carry our selection of garden products and we believe the time and gas you save by not running around town looking will more than pay for the shipping.  Please be sure your address is correct.  Incorrect addresses result in extra charges by the shipping company and delayed shipments.

Plant Scooter accepts returns in accordance with the return policy guidelines outlined below.
It is our desire for you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.  We trust that you choose your products carefully.
Before you return an item, please send an e-mail to Customer Service. In your e-mail, include your order number and the reason you want to return the item.
If we sent you a product you did not order by our mistake, contact us and we will resolve the problem.  If you receive a product that was damaged in transit, please contact the shipper directly.
We provide no cash refunds or charge card credits for unauthorized items returned to us.  All merchandise being returned must be authorized before you return it, and must be arranged within 5 business days of receiving your order.  Merchandise being returned must be returned in original boxes and packaging.  You are responsible for the return shipping costs. If your order was eligible for free shipping, all original shipping and handling costs are not refundable and will be deducted from the refund.  Returned products are assessed a 25% restocking fee.
If you cancel an order that has been already processed and/or shipped, we do not refund shipping and there is a 25% restocking fee on your order. Unauthorized returns become the property of The Plant Scooter. Products on our website are priced per each unless otherwise stated.  If you are unsure what a product price is, please contact us before you pay.  Returns of shipped merchandise are not accepted for price reasons alone.  View your cart total, product price, and quantity before you pay.
